Presentation
The digital transition is one of the major societal challenges of our time, and digital technology is becoming just as much a part of our most intimate practices as it is at the highest levels of political governance.
But while digital technology has traditionally been seen as a factor of progress and a vector of benefits for all, in recent years there has been a debate about its negative externalities.n recent years, a debate on the negative externalities of digital technology has emerged, revealing a growing awareness.
The "Digital and the Environment" group aims to shed light on the issues involved:
- What potential do information and communication technologies have to provide solutions to environmental transition issues?
- What are the negative impacts of digital technology on the environment? How can the promotion of a responsible digital economy and associated sobriety actions help to meet sustainable development objectives and the challenges of climate change?
The group plans to organize events:
- Through its office
- With other Télécom Paris alumni groups
- With other alumni associations
- With G9+ (digital groups of alumni associations)
