To be entirely "renewable", an RE sector must strive to renew the physical resources used in the production phase of equipment and installations. However, the massive deployment of photovoltaic energy is leading to an increase in the need to recycle solar panels, which can be recycled up to 90% of their mass at the end of their life.
We will discuss the technical and organizational aspects of this collection and recycling sector with our guests:
- Marie Lacombe, Technical and Environmental Performance Engineer, from SOREN, the eco-organization responsible since 2015 for organizing the collection and recycling of photovoltaic panels in France.
- Antoine Chalaux, Managing Director of ROSI, a French company founded in 2017 and a pioneer in high value-added recycling of photovoltaicpanels .
