How can we help the industrial world cope with the energy transition?

As energy consumers, manufacturers are bearing the full brunt of the current crisis, and are in the process of switching to the energy transition, willingly or unwillingly... They know they need to be more resilient, more renewable, more sustainable, more local, and not just out of personal conviction.

Nevertheless, as far as specifiers and public authorities in particular are concerned, we may not yet have fully grasped what is at stake. There's still work to be done. Above all, many of them haven't fully grasped the potential for deployment of renewable energies and the electrification of the country as it is taking shape, and the profound transformations it will bring about.

Edouard Roblot, drawing on his experience in ministerial cabinets, at the CRE and with major energy companies, will give us his no-nonsense view of the energy transition and illustrate the far-reaching changes it will bring.his views on the energy transition, illustrating his remarks with concrete examples and outlining the energy transition platform that manufacturers will need to equip themselves with.

Background:

Edouard Roblotis a graduate of École Polytechnique and Sciences Po.

Prior to joining Idex as Director of Bâtiment Bas Carbone, Edouard Roblot was, since 2019, advisor to Valérie Pécresse, President of the Île-de-France Region, in charge of the environment and energy.

A graduate of Ecole Polytechnique and Sciences Po, Edouard Roblot began his career in 2011 as Chargé de mission at the Commission de Régulation de l'Energie. In 2013, he joined the Total Group, where in his last position he was in charge of the B2B solar business in France.

At Idex, an independent leader in energy transition in France, Edouard is responsible for developing Idex's low-carbon offerings for the building sector, aimed exclusively at professionals and local authorities.
