For an ever more sustainable e-commerce

Organised by "Digital & Environment"

The environmental footprint of e-commerce

The "e-commerce" button doesn't yet exist, but it's just as well.

With just a few clicks, you can make a large number of purchases without thinking too much.

By 2022, e-business in France will be worth :

  • EUR 146.9 billion, up 13.8% year-on-year
  • 2.3 billion transactions in 2022, up 6.5% on 2021. (Source: Francenum)

E-commerce is now a mass-market sector, with undeniable economic and social weight, both in terms of the audiences for e-commerce sites and the messages conveyed by marketing and communication campaigns.

Issues

  • Online vs. in-store shopping: which is more virtuous?
  • What are the environmental impacts of online sales?
  • Can e-commerce be an effective way for sustainable brands to develop?
  • What are the best practices for more sustainable e-business?

We'll be answering these questions with our guests:

  • Jean-Philippe Sloves, Director of Corporate Communications and CSR, La Redoute.
  • Emery Jacquillat, President of Camif .
  • Juliette Sorret, Senior Consultant at Carbone 4
  • Julien Tuffery, President, or, Myriam Tuffery, Managing Director, Atelier Tuffery

A round table moderated by Quentin Roques, Télécom Paris alumni, and Perrine Tanguy, founder of the E-CO collective.

This round table is organized by:

in partnership with Alumni for The Planet, G9+, X Environnement.
