Artificial intelligence: a new golden age for digestive endoscopy

First introduced in the 1970s, endoscopy enables non-invasive diagnosis of digestive tract diseases via the natural route. It underwent critical development in the 1990s with the rise of therapeutic endoscopy, now replacing surgery in many circumstances. Artificial intelligence (AI) tools now offer a new golden age for digestive endoscopy.
