You fill out profiles on various sites and platforms. You're familiar with theprofilers in detective series, so adept at drawing up a portrait of a serial criminal to predict where he'll be found. But today, "profile" can be used to describe the way in which new information and communication technologies condition the management of populations, the governance of individuals, and the types of sociality we experience. In this case, these technologies are the collection and algorithmic processing of massive data.
