The Télécom ParisTech alumni Network and Services Group
invites you to its next conference

Plan France Très Haut Débit: where do we stand?

Launched in February 2013, the aim of the Plan France Très Haut Débit (THD) is to cover the entire country with very high-speed broadband by 2022, i.e. to offer high-performance Internet access to all homes, businesses and administrations.

To achieve this goal, the Plan combines privately-funded projects (particularly in dense and medium-density areas) and publicly-funded projects, the RIPs (Réseaux d'Initiative Publique, mainly in low-density areas).

The aim of the conference is to provide an update on the rollout of the France Très Haut Débit plan, as we reach the halfway point of this 10-year plan.

We'll also take a look at the technological aspects: FTTH (Fiber to the Home, used for the vast majority of connections) and its evolutions, but also radio techniques (fixed 4g) adapted for HSBB connections in rural areas, and satellite connection techniques.

In addition to residential connections, we'll be focusing on business connections, with a specialist alternative operator taking the floor.

To cover all the facets of this subject, our program calls on a number of experts:

  • Update on the Plan France Très Haut Débit, by Pierre Oisel, from the Agence du Numérique (Mission THD)
  • SFR's contributions to the Plan France THD, by Lionel Recorbet, CEO of SFR Collectivités
  • FTTH developments, by Thierry Valette, Head of Fixed Access Strategy, Orange Labs Networks
  • Fixed 4g, by Vincent Carrière, President of Xilan
  • New satellite technologies and complementarity with terrestrial solutions, by Bruno Jambon, Eutelsat Broadband Sales Manager
  • Alternative operators' issues in connecting businesses, by Sylvain Charron, CEO of Lasotel

These presentations will be followed by a Round Table, bringing together the previous speakers, with the participation of :

  • Henri de Chanville (2009), CEO of LumiTHD, who will address the issues involved in industrializing deployments.

Attendance is free of charge, but registration is required to gain access to the conference room.

The conference is open to all, so please feel free to share the invitation.
