In this round table, we propose to use lithium as a use case to study strategies for securing material supplies, by exploring the entire value chain, from extraction to use in battery manufacture.
We'll be looking at issues such as securing stocks, geopolitical tensions, economic equations, the environment...
The speakers
Pierre de Lapeyrière - ECLy 95, President Europe of Ensorcia Group. After 25 years in the consulting business and setting up his own consultancy, Pierre has taken over as President Europe of Ensorcia Group, which specializes in the environmentally-friendly extraction, processing and marketing of Lithium Battery Grade.
Nicolas Queney: ECP P2016, Business Development Manager at Imerys. Nicolas joined Imerys seven years ago as part of the corporate strategy team, before moving to the Emili project team (lithium mine project in the Allier region of France) to work on strategy & marketing issues, before focusing on co-product and residue management.
Camilla Vachet - Chalmers University of Technology, Head of Direct Materials and Responsible Sourcing at Verkor. Camilla has a background in investment banking and strategy. She joined Verkor in 2023, which is building one of its battery gigafactories in Dunkirk. She works in particular on raw materials sourcing issues, including lithium.
