Cybersecurity professions in the age of digital transformation
This conference will address the following topics:
- How are evolving threats transforming technical roles?
- How do the changing role of the CIO and the emergence of CDO-type roles affect the traditional role of the CISO?
- How will regulatory changes (GDPR, OIV law) change the game?
The growing importance of security concerns within companies is leading their managers to move away from originally technical roles, and broaden their scope of intervention to include :
- regulatory (legal, contractual, internal regulations, etc.)
- human resources (training, awareness-raising, recruitment, careers, business travel, etc.)
- communication (preserving the company's image, managing crises and maintaining relations with partners, etc.)
- ...
The result is interdisciplinary profiles, in which technical legitimacy remains central, but is now joined by know-how that was once the prerogative of HR or sales managers, and is linked to the company's decision-making bodies.
This far-reaching trend extends beyond IGOs and government agencies, and now includes SMEs, VSEs and local authorities. The latter are looking for referents and models that are better adapted to their size, and to an environment that is less dense in terms of dedicated cybersecurity contacts. The need to adapt organization and protection methods to these small entities requires us to think about the right balance between in-house and outsourced skills.
After the speakers' presentations, they will take part in a round-table discussion which will provide an opportunity for exchanges with the audience. The round table will be followed by a cocktail reception.
