Audiovisual broadcasting: "historic" technical broadcasters face the challenges of new technologies.

Audiovisual content has long been delivered to the widest possible audience via two technologies: terrestrial terrestrial broadcasting and satellite broadcasting. How are the "historic" broadcasting companies, which have reached considerable dimensions in terms of both national and international deployment and economic weight, reacting to the challenges of new multiservice broadband transmission technologies: fiber, ADSL, cellular networks? How are they adapting their technologies, services and business models? What are their strengths and weaknesses? How are they perceived by their institutional customers and content providers?

The round-table discussion will bring together three key players in this field:

Alain KOMLY (1982), Deputy Director, Audiovisual Division, TéléDiffusion de France
Hervé PAVARD, Director of Technologies and Information Systems, TF1
Laurent ZENOU (1992), Director of Business Development and Strategic Planning, Eutelsat
