[New date, new location] Help the social elevator to work better, get in on the action!

You see a lack of diversity in the Grandes Ecoles.

You don't understand why two-thirds of students in higher education today are children of senior executives, even though this category represents only 16% of the total population.

You're wondering how you can help solve this problem.

You want to understand how your experience can help young, bright, self-confident people.

You'd like to make a commitment to equal opportunities and understand what you can do for bright young people.

If one of these reasons appeals to you, or if you're simply curious, we invite you to come and listen to the testimonials of alumni who have invested in mentoring young people to guide them along their educational path.

Helping the social elevator to work better is the objective of alumni, the Ecole, Article 1 and Institut Télémaque, associations fighting for equal opportunities. For the past three years, we've been offering a mentoring program for young middle and high school students, as well as those in preparatory classes, with the aim of guiding them in their projects and aspirations. Some thirty alumni have already taken part in the program, and we'd like to invite you to join them.

To find out more and hear the alumni's different stories, come along to this conference! It will be introduced by Yves Poilane, Director of the Ecole, and Laura Peytavin, President of our association.

You can contact the organizers by e-mail mentorat@telecom-paris.fr

The École finances scholarships for students in need, and is developing this mentoring program thanks to the support of alumni and your generosity.

Access is free, and the conference is open to all.
Registration (online) is imperative to gain access to the conference room, and ID will be required at the entrance as part of thevigipirateplan.

Article1 and Institut Télémaque are two of France's leading associations working to promote social equality and support young people in their projects and aspirations. Through individual and collective mentoring, these associations aim to help young people from "diverse" backgrounds to succeed in their studies, whether at college, high school or university.
