Conference/debate: What networks for the Internet of Things?

Which Networks for the Internet of Things?
Conference-debate organized by the Networks and Services Group

The Internet of Things (IoT) is a fast-growing field, often mentioned in the press.
It's the application parts, corresponding to the digitization of uses (remote meter reading, connected sensors, health, ...) that are most often described. On the other hand, there is little literature or debate on the networks that will enable such services to be set up.
Yet recent announcements (SIGFOX, Bouygues Telecom, etc.) have demonstrated the interest of telecoms network players in developing solutions adapted to this market.

During this evening, we wanted to raise the question "What networks for the Internet of Things?", by discussing the different aspects:
  • What are we talking about?
  • What are the specific features of these networks?
  • What are the possible technologies?
  • What are their advantages and disadvantages?

The speaker will be Arnaud Vamparys (95) from Orange Labs

Three market players will then present their offers and points of view: Rodolphe Baronnet (95) from SIGFOX
Franck Moine from Bouygues Telecom,
and, for the components aspect, Ambroise Popper (2000) from Sequans.
The evening will close with a debate around the speakers and a question-and-answer session for participants.

The evening is free and open to all, here on our website.

Come one, come all, and feel free to circulate this invitation to your respective networks.

For the Networks and Services Group Michel LEVY (75)
