Founded in 1995, Chrono Flex specializes in on-site repair of hydraulic hoses in less than 2 hours. This responsiveness has enabled the company to achieve 3-digit annual growth for 5 consecutive years. This remarkable growth was followed by stagnation in 2008, and then a catastrophic year in 2009: -34% drop in sales. Three waves of redundancies followed. In the style of a fairy tale, 3 oracles put the company back on the road to adventure: - Jean-François ZOBRIST presents his company FAVI, a foundry in Picardie which has been generating 20% cashflow for 30 years and whose driving force is "love of the customer, trust, autonomy and a shared dream", at the conference "L'entreprise du XXIe siècle existe, nous l'avons rencontrée". - Isaac GETZ and Brian CARNEY describe in their book "Liberté et Cie" the keys to the success of these few highly successful companies, whose common denominator is "the freedom and happiness of their employees". Alexandre Gérard, fascinated by this discourse, embarked on the project of making the ChronoFlex players free and autonomous. He discovered 2 major mistakes: - To have deprived himself of collective intelligence (a few people think, the others execute) - To have enacted rigid rules for the incompressible 3% of bad sleepers, instead of thinking about the 97% of players who don't cause problems Working groups follow one another to hunt down irritants (hardware, IT), identify and eliminate the distinctive signs of power (corner office, parking spaces), reorganize the company's activity and "transform this aircraft carrier into an armada of speed boats". The traditional role of manager is declared obsolete, and all decisions are now taken by employees, right down to the remuneration system. Today, Chrono Flex is once again the national leader (200 intervention vehicles, sales of 20 million euros) and is pursuing its international expansion.
