Free Software Symposium

AIST and the Sophia-Antipolis Foundation are organizing an afternoon of exchanges on the theme of open source software, chaired by Senator Pierre Laffitte, on March 16 2007, starting at 2 p.m. AIST is committed to publishing an issue devoted to this subject in June 2007, and 40 people or companies have already responded to its call for articles, coming from a variety of backgrounds: open source communities, SS2L, integrators, consultants, journalists. For its part, the Sophia-Antipolis Foundation hosts the Sophia Open Source Club, whose aim is to promote and raise awareness of open source solutions. AIST and the Foundation felt it would be interesting to create an exchange on this theme between players from different professions and geographical locations, and to bring together people and companies from Sophia-Antipolis and the Ile-de-France region. The first part of the meeting will be devoted to research and "normative" aspects. The second part will be devoted to the users' point of view.Registration required by emailProgram to download
