[Club Photo] - Speed, exposure time

The photo club will kick off its 2016-2017 season on Saturday October 15 with a session led by Marie-Hélène le Ny, our trainer for the past 5 seasons, and dedicated to working on speed. This session will be held at the Télécom ParisTech Alumni offices, and you will be informed of the exact location.

Exposure times - whether long or short - are one of the key parameters in the photographer's hand for achieving ever more varied and effective visual effects. During this session, we'll learn or deepen our understanding of the techniques and methods needed to master the notion of speed, according to the photographer's desired rendering.

The session will be organized as usual:
-14h-15h: briefing by Marie-Hélène,
-15:00-16:30: each participant takes a series of photos on the day's theme,
-16:30-17:30: debriefing and analysis of the photographs by Marie-Hélène.

A number of new features are planned for the season, the first of which is the possibility for each participant to bring along a few photos (2 or 3, on a USB key) for analysis during the briefing.

These shots may or may not be related to the day's theme. The aim is to use Marie-Hélène's analyses to improve our understanding of the different photographic works.

N.B.1 : If you have a tripod, we recommend that you bring it along to facilitate work at slow speeds.

N.B.2 : No pre-requisites in terms of level or equipment are required for the sessions. Whether you're a beginner or an experienced cameraman, compact or reflex, you can all come and make progress!
