4G professional: much more than LTE

Deployments of operators' public 4G networks are underway, providing comfortable (today) speeds for users, in line with the throughput demand of their applications.

Professional" 4G/LTE can be presented as an adaptation of the same technologies to different frequencies, in reserved bands.technologies, providing similar services and speeds, in designated areas, such as port sites or for military, security or simply business applications. In fact, a quick look around shows that in these environments, the technologies currently in use (TETRA, DECT, PMR, etc.) are often ageing and unsuited to the modern needs of professionals (for example, for the transmission of quality video images in real time). The real challenge for professional 4G/LTE is to gradually replace these technologies, providing existing services (push-to-talk, group communications, etc.) and adding new services, such as real-time video, thus improving the efficiency of communications in the same environments.

The aim of this evening event is to give participants an overview of current projects/experiments, new uses, and to understand what is going to happen in this field in the coming years, in terms of services, solutions provided, and technologies.

With this in mind, we've organized the evening into five presentations, followed by a round-table discussion and Q&A. The topics covered are as follows:

  • Introduction to the subject: Gilles BRÉGANT, Director General, ANFR
  • LTE in the airport vertical segment: Soline OLSZANSKI, Director of Strategy and Innovation, HubOne (ADP Group)
  • Homeland security applications: Gonzague MONTMORENCY, Head of Radio Prospective Office, Gendarmerie Nationale
  • Dedicated professional LTE systems : Laurent PISON, Product Line Manager, ATOS / Airlynx
  • Professional LTE use cases: Benoit TOURNIER, Marketing Director, IoT Solutions, Sierra Wireless

Access to the conference is free and open to all. Please feel free to circulate the invitation.

Registration (online) is imperative to gain access to the conference room, and ID will be required at the entrance to comply with the vigipirate plan.
