KENNETH MACMILLAN BALLET DE L'OPÉRA BALLET EN TROIS ACTES D'APRÈS LE ROMAN DE L'ABBÉ PRÉVOST Inspired by the heroes of Abbé Prévost, Kenneth MacMillan recreates the tragic story of this sensual, ingenuous being, less responsible than a victim of his own fate. The choreographer builds his ballet on a mosaic of excerpts from Massenet, finding in his music the theatricality and romanticism necessary for this great danced fresco.
