Innovating on the Internet - From infrastructure to ecosystems, what place for ethics and responsibility?
The strength of technical infrastructures is that they end up seeming "natural", unsurpassable and impossible to question. The problems they pose call for solutions that inevitably remain within the same technical, social and legal paradigm.
So how can we invent a new communications infrastructure? The case of Frogans answers this question. As an infrastructure design project, Frogans enables the implementation of a design ethic that supports responsible digital technology. The story of this project is told by one of its founders, Alexis Tamas (1993), and the man responsible for its international distribution, Jérôme Delacroix, with questions from CY Ecole de design Research Director Annie Gentes.
The conference will present the 4 major design challenges of this adventure:
the invention and development of an infrastructure,
the ethical implications,
the aesthetic dimensions of a new medium, and
the innovation of the business model.
The conference will be moderated by David Fayon (2018), Ecosystems Innovation Director at La Poste Group.
Speakers:
Annie Gentes, ENS Fontenay-Saint-Cloud (85), Director of Research at CY Ecole de Design, professor of information and communication sciences and design, founder of the Codesign lab at Télécom Paris, works on emerging forms of design that accompany technological and service innovations and organizational transformations. She also analyzes and contributes to the development of new design methodologies to achieve sustainable development objectives.
Alexis Tamas (1993), co-inventor of Frogans technology, Chairman and CEO of F2R2 (f2r2.fr). A Télécom Paris engineer (1993), he has advanced expertise in Internet innovation, including technological, economic, legal and political aspects.
Jérôme Delacroix, responsible for the development, notably in China and the USA, of local branches of OP3FT (op3ft.org), the French-based standardization organization developing Frogans technology. A graduate of HEC (97) and CentraleSupélec (98), he has advanced expertise in the adoption of disruptive technologies, in contact with users, and in-depth knowledge of the Chinese Internet ecosystem.
Moderator:
David Fayon(2018), Ecosystems Innovation Director, La Poste Group, essayist, lecturer (https://davidfayon.fr/). Engineer and Doctor of Management Sciences from Télécom Paris (2018), MBA from IAE France, executive trainer, his work focuses on social networks, the digital economy and society.
