Great and happy news, the Télécom ParisTech alumni œnology club is back!
New trends in viticulture:
from sustainable viticulture to organic viticulture
biodynamic and natural wines
Since Bernard Burtschy's departure, I've been trying to find a replacement for him to continue the oenological adventure so prized by the telecom community. In the autumn, I came across Stéphane Lochon, head sommelier at the Royal Monceau for over 15 years, and who is now exercising his passion for wines and spirits at the Dargent cellars. Exceptionally, Stéphane Lochon has agreed to present the wine treasures of France and the world once a month at the alumni wine club.
Following the success of the Rencontres œnophiles des Grandes Ecoles on Sunday December 9, where some of our members were present, the tastings will resume at Télécom ParisTech at 7pm, lasting around 2h30.
At each session, 6 wines will be tasted, with commentary by Stéphane, who sees himself as the link between winemakers and consumers, putting people at the heart of winemaking. For each wine, he will present the winemaker, the characteristics of the estate, and his conception of vineyard work, before the tasting; a technical sheet will be distributed for each wine.
The first evening's theme is "New trends in viticulture: from sustainable viticulture to organic viticulture, biodynamic viticulture and natural wines". Is this the emergence of new wines, or a return to authentic ones? The tastings will allow us to judge.
Please register as soon as possible, as places are limited. Your registration will be validated as soon as you pay online. Alumni who have paid their membership fees can be accompanied at the same preferential rate.
Oenologically yours,
Gérard Cambillau
