Data for good
The expression 'Data for good' refers to the various uses of data in the interests of populations and NGOs. How can data improve agriculture, transport and public services? How can the open-data movement enable scientists to carry out their research more effectively? What's at stake, and what are the challenges? These are the issues we'd like to explore through a few examples:
Here are three concrete examples:
1) Aurelien Labrunye will talk about the impact of new technologies on daily life in Senegal, based on a study trip following various projects in this country
2) Denis Oblin will talk about the use of data to improve access to healthcare in Burkina Fasso
3) Romain Rabier will talk about "data for employability": tools and challenges
