The showA triumph at its premiere in 2001 at the Théâtre Tristan Bernard, then on tour, Théâtre sans animaux is a series of eight tales traversed by storms of comicality. Five actors take absurdist byways, out of all reality. Like the three-and-a-half-meter ballpoint pen that lands in the living room at dawn.The author and directorPlaywright, director and filmmaker Jean-Michel Ribes is a proponent of subversive fantasy and the imaginary, pursuing a free creative path at the frontier of genres. He has been director of the Théâtre du Rond-Point since 2002, where he champions contemporary playwriting. He has written and directed some twenty plays, including Les Fraises musclées (1970), Tout contre un petit bois (1976, Prix des "U" and Prix Plaisir du théâtre), Théâtre sans animaux (2001, Molières for best comic play and best playwright) and Musée Haut, Musée Bas (2004, seven Molière nominations, Molière for theatrical revelation for Micha Lescot).
