The showProfessor Winch has founded the UPA (Université Philosophique Ambulante) to spread the word. He is an itinerant philosopher, accompanied by his beloved wife, Mrs. Winch, and his faithful assistant, Mr. Bakhamouche. Together, they hit the road... Author and directorSon of sociologist Pierre Bourdieu, Emmanuel Bourdieu began a brilliant academic and professional career centered on philosophy. He then turned to writing for the theater, either solo or in duo with Frédéric Garcia-Lorca, for shows directed by Denis Podalydès, soon to become his favorite actor. He also crossed paths with Arnaud Desplechin, becoming his invaluable scriptwriting partner, and went on to direct his first short film in 1998. In 2003, he signed his first feature film, Vert Paradis, co-written with his accomplice Denis Podalydès.The directorA student of literature, Denis Podalydès enrolled at the Cours Florent before passing the entrance exam to the Conservatoire National Supérieur d'Art Dramatique de Paris. A few years later, he earned a place as a Sociétaire at Le Français, and won the Molière for Best Theatrical Revelation for his performance in Gogol's Revizor. On the silver screen, the actor began playing burlesque characters in the films of his director brother, Bruno Podalydès. In 2011, he played one of the most eagerly awaited roles of the year, President Sarkozy in La Conquête.
