Automated and connected vehicles and shuttles: myths or realities in 2024 in France and around the world

THE car that has marked the evolution of our society over the last century, is transforming itself under our eyes, going from internal combustion to electric power, and from manual driving, not very different from that of horse-drawn vehicles, to automated driving before perhaps fully autonomous driving ...

Announced in the 90s, this famous autonomous car that Google Car, IBM, TESLA, Uber present as intelligent, thwarting the pitfalls of driving in complete safety, what is it really today?

This round table aims to answer this question with French manufacturers of autonomous and connected vehicles, a mobility operator who is embarking on the adventure in the city of Châteauroux, the leading French manufacturer of individual cars and ... the minister responsible for overseeing the development of automated and connected road mobility.

We'll have a sneak preview (before the Paris Motor Show) of manufacturers' and operators' vision of the future in four key areas: technology, safety, economics and, above all, usage.

The icing on the cake will be the participation of Michel Parent from INRIA, the French pioneer of autonomous vehicles with CYBERCARS in the 80s.
